I'm a Rush fan so I have mixed feelings about this new Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess. I DID actually buy the Alex Lifeson white ES-355 model and it's a killer guitar.

So why am I mentioning it here on the RRF?

Is it just me, or is Gibson's marketing department run by chimpanzees?

This is one a half-dozen of the most ridiculous marketing ideas i've ever heard in the guitar industry. Unbelievable.

I am as big of a hack as they come and all I can say is I'm sorry to see my level of design skill might actually be on par with Gibson's.

All it is, is an isolated output for the Piezo pickup. I have no idea why they even came up with a fancy name for it, just call it a Piezo jack.

Lost me with the locking bridge thingy, and hasn't Carvin been doing electronics like this for years?
