Who digs the masters of the two-part harmony? I sure do.



Something that's interesting, some tracks off The Sound of Silence, such as the title track, "I Am a Rock" and "Richard Cory" sound like a Rickenbacker 12-string for electric guitar parts. I know it couldn't be Paul Simon, but it still makes you wonder...

I'm not a huge fan, I do like Parsely Sage Rosemary and Thyme a lot though.

As far as Richard Cory goes, I think Them does the best version:


S&G can't really sell lines like "I curse my poverty" like Them can. Killer.

As far as I know, at least for the sound of silence - the drums and some electric guitars were added AFTER the mastering (they do sound a bit distant) without S&G's knowledge so the other guitarist could have used a rick 12...
