12 gauge strings on a 660/6

Hi all, I recently snagged a 660/6, really cool guitar. I was wondering if I could put 12 gauge strings on it without needing to adjust the truss rod? I like 11s normally, on my 330 and Fenders, but the 660's short bridge seems to make the strings a bit looser than I am used to. 12s are not scary, as I play that gauge on acoustics all the time without issue.

I don't feel confident adjusting the truss rod myself, and I don't want to have to have a pro setup just to try it (and maybe hate it, making me get a second setup).

Thanks!

660s come with a .010-.042 set, so a .012-.056 (?) set is a substantial change. You'll be needing a truss rod adjustment, more likely than not, sometime soon. The 660 necks are wide and flattish on the back, and are nearly as adjustable--and sensitive--as a standard 300 series neck.

This is not too difficult to accomplish with the correct tool. Don't use a socket wrench, but do use a long-neck socket driver to avoid exerting too much torque on the rods. Instructions can be found in various threads on this and other forums.
