Wow  , nice one.

As much as I love my Ricks there ain't nothing wrong with a sweet Les Paul. There' s a good reason so many people play them and it's not 'cause they're cheap :)

Congratulations!

Thanks guys! I wanted to see how my guitar looked next to some original 1959 Les Paul Standards so I copied some pictures from The Burst Serial Log I think the color is pretty close.

Mitch, I just finished reading the "Search for the million dollar guitar" by Tony Bacon. It was a great read. I play in a band with Gibson guys and they are always talking about their guitars like we talk about our RICs. I have an '83 burgandy Les Paul. This was a fascinating book to read and I can really recommend it to anyone. There is some really cool trivia in the book as well. In fact heres one... How many '59 bursts have been stolen from Eric Clapton?

Probably a few more than he remembers ever owning.

Yeah, I read the book somewhere last year and it's an interesting read, even for people who're not into LPs!

The answer is two. (Think about that for a minute...$750-1,000,000 in those two axes.. gone).. and somehow I think he remembers every one he's ever owned.

That '59 Reissue is beyond stunning; so much so that I have a hard time admitting it might be better looking then my Standard. I may have to get some shots in the sun!
