Is this Tailpiece a direct replacement for the standard 'R' tailpiece on Rics?
I am looking to make my 330 FG into a sort of tribute to Tom Pettys 330 - gold pickguard and truss rod cover, toasters, and the trapze tailpiece, but the Rickenbacker trapeze requires extra screwholes am i right?
Anyone have any photos of the Winfield Trapeze on their guitar?

I believe that Winfield bakes an anchor piece for the trapeze the uses the same hole pattern as an "R" tailpiece.
Edit: a quick check at their web site shows an R to trapeze conversion.

Winfield's parts are excellent quality and fit well.
Their customer service is excellent too.

I put one on my 330 and love it. No modification needed. It is much easier to re-string, and it made the guitar strings buzz less. I think it was the change of the break angle, but now it sounds slightly tighter, more focused, and less buzz-y. I wasn't expecting this in any way, but it is a welcome addition. Some might like it, some might not, some might not notice it. I had my trapeze within a week of ordering it, so great service and turn-around time.
