My bass rig is 1500 watts. I can shake the neighbor's whole house... and they're 1/4 mile away...

Hitting the low A on any of my basses sets both things in the room and the closet door in the hallway vibrating. I wonder why so many things resonate there? Maybe the cabinet has a peak there? Actually its annoying.

I once used my old '92 4003FL FG with a large TOA 4-channel mixer/amp laid face down on the floor (like Scotty) to get revenge on a noisy neighbor (like Scotty) downstairs.

Sounds familiar. I had a noisy neighbor upstairs who got the Jaws theme ( E F..... E F....... E F E F E F E F, etc.) every weekday morning at 5:00 AM. This was in an old SoCal 2 story apartment building. I'd wait until I either heard her feet hit the floor or some swearing before I'd stop. In an earthquake zone, 375 watts RMS, 2 15" speakers in a cab leaning back diagonally against the wall makes neighbors nervous. After a few mornings of Jaws, she and I reached an agreement about respecting each other's sleep. Tom

I had a friend who did something similar. Laid his Ampeg 8*10 face down on the floor and used a DOD Meat Box with his bass and just lit a low E. The loud downstairs neighbor came running upstairs irate as could be. All of the plaster on the ceiling of the entire apartment came raining down on him!
