Cool! Is that a refin? I've seen many a 4001C64 in mapleglo, but never a 4001C64S in fireglo. I dig it!

Toward the end of production of the C64 and C64S, the folks at RIC started getting frisky with the colors. There were some glossy and satin C64S's in Midnight Blue, Jetglo, and at least this one satin Fireglo. Same thing happened near the end of the V63's also, where some were produced in Midnight Blue, Turquoise, and Sea Green!

Thanks!

Paul is correct. This is a factory finish, really different for me, REALLY nice. I am used to the glossy finish on my 4000 and 4001C64.

So has production on the C64 series officially come to a halt then? All orders filled?

And that is cool that they've done some of the later run in these different finishes. They're not what I would want to own, but are very cool to look at. I was more interested in getting the run-of-the-mill C64 because it was closer to the McCartney specs, and that's the bass that inspired me to be the player I am now.

I believe that they have been finished, possibly not all delivered.
