On the cover of a French magazine -- Vintage Guitare:

Looks like a '60s 381 with pearloid-button Van Ghent tuners. Where have I seen that one before?

It is indeed mine. There is an interview in the magazine with me about my collection that has photos of some of my vintage Ricks.

The article was written in French and not available online. I just received my copy of the magazine today and it's still in French -- all except the photos, that is!

So do I. I will have to spend a few hours with Babelfish to figure this out -- unless there is a member here who can read French and tell me what I said!

Were there any 12 string 381 models built back in the 60s, or just the reissues? Anyone know? Just curious. :D

There's a number of us here who can read French Ron. I am a bit rusty but I am sure I could tell you if you said anything bad. Dean would be able to give you a near perfect translation. He's in Montreal and although the dialect is different I am sure he could make any necessary adjustments.

I have the 8-page article in PDF form. If interested, PM me your email address I'll send you a copy.

And if you can't read French, you can still look at the pictures . . .
