Good one, George! I hope you don't mind if I add The Chambers Brothers...

Saw the Chambers Brothers live at my college in the early 70's! Great group!

The Ramones really do the song justice, for being such a "bare bones arrangement" group. But the Chambers Bros. transport me right back into my '55 Chevy...

+1 on both, but I didn't ever have a '55 Chevy.

The imagery on the Chamber Brothers one brought back... memories...
:(
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

This was my second '55 Chevy, and my second '55 Chevy Nomad wagon to boot. It was a one-owner V8 Powerpack from Texas that I found at a used car lot in Harvard, IL, for $800 in 1968. Harvest Gold (pale yellow) bottom with India Ivory (off-white) top. Interior was Neptune Green and Ivory. PW/ PS/ PB/ Wonderbar radio, Powerglide. A sweet, refined, quiet, fast, practical classic without a scratch on it. Sold it to finance my honeymoon with my trial wife back then. (Expensive trial for a number of reasons).

In all I've owned over 40 cars since 1967 when I bought my first one. Eight of them were Nomads. Six of those were 1955 models, one a '56 and one a '57. I guess you could say I was obsessive about those cars.

Those old Chevys were/are great cars! Took my driver's test, close to 50 years ago, in a friend's '55 Chev. My brother had a '55, also. My first car was a '40 Chev coupe. Back in those days the '40 was just considered to be a jalopy. I paid $80 for it.

This is a pic of our band car. I've owned this '56 for many moons. 265 with 3-on-the-tree. I should have scrubbed those whitewalls before I snapped the pic... :D
