The bass is either one of those 60s/70s MIJ hofner copies or one of those funny 60s leftover instruments from the old Italian Vox factory..
I love the Ampeg-like headstock.

It is an iconic picture no?

Silvertone (Sears), mid to late 1960s, built by Sekova in Japan.

That or a Crucianelli-they made Voxes for a while. The scroll headstock looks like a Baldwin (Burns), but I've never seen one with a violin body.

That is what I thought when first veiwing this yesterday but all the pics I found of the EKO's had an squared part at the top of the HS with an "E" on it.
