I watched that and wondered if that is a new Rick or an old Rick? (the bass, not the guitarist) has the gold pickguard in the old shape and the 1/2" spacing on the neck PU.....interesting....is that like a '60 or '61 "deluxe"?

Luckily opinions may be dispensed openly here...huge Cheap Trick fan here, but not of this mariachi'ed up version. Just 1:12 seconds in, I had to stop. I'm surprised I got that far! Luckily I can always listen to "Way of the World," "The House Is Rockin' (With Domestic Problems)" and "Reach Out" to bring me back to my cheaper senses!

Was this released today? If so maybe it was for Cinco de Mayo? I like it.

I think it looked like a whole bunch of FUN!. They have probably played that tune 50katillion times... I think it's neat when a band can hit things a little differently. Yeah if i had to guess I'd say the bass was an early '70s modded a bit.

Amen to that, Paul. One of the best American rock bands. Good to see them getting some of the recognition they have always deserved.

One of my favorite bands. Robin still has the pipes. And gotta dig that Gretsch through an Orange half stack and Vox AC-30.

The bass is a '72, Tom says. Very nice. The best of early Rick elements, combined.
