Thanks for passing that along, Brian. There's a lot of food for thought.

Well, the lead guitarist in the band I recently left couldn't handle 1, 3, 5,6, 8 and 9...and that's just part of reason why I left the band due to
him!
The 11th thing a guitarist should do, is be able to realize you're not always right just because you're the
lead guitarist, nor does that automatically make you the
leader!

Phew! Thanks for the clarification Aitch.
Joey did the lead guitarist in your old band meet ANY of the requirements listed?

Usually the person that actually started the band is the leader. But that does not necessarily mean that they automatically have the most experience or are in any way qualified to lead other musicians.
That's often why so many bands flounder and fall apart.

He was usually able to do #2 - tune his guitar. I must add that any and all of the buzzing and other weird noises on recording you may have heard, did not come from the Rickenbackers of Frank and I, but from that highly overpriced, relicked (did I get that right?) Stratofaker that the lead player had.

Funny, he could do #2 alright. Cause it also!

Well, that first part is
dead wrong, especially that part about not being able to be improved...
In the beginning there was a bass. It was a Fender, probably a Precision, but it could have been a Jazz - nobody knows. Anyway, it was very old ... definitely pre-C.B.S.
And God looked down upon it and saw that it was good. He saw that it was very good in fact, and couldn't be improved on at all (though men would later try.)
