Did any 365 OS have checkered binding on the back

I was pretty certain I used to own a mapleglo 365 OS (sold it in 1971 so my memory is fading) ... but talking to my wife she said she remembers the binding on the back being checkered.
I also remember it having the TV knobs.
So am I mistaken? Was it a 365 NS and not a 365 OS?
Or did I have a really rare custom order breed? I bought it used in late 1969.

Most likely a 365 NS. It wouldn't have two different types of binding, most likely. What year was the guitar? No reason for a NS having TV knobs.

I don't remember the exact year. I vaguely remember thinking it was a 1967 or slightly earlier. I could be mistaken on the TV knobs too. except when I got my 91 Ric I remember thinking that the knobs (round black and silver) did not look like I remembered them. The all black knobs don't look like I remember them either. I know this isn't much help.
Thanks for your help!

Anyway I was so sure I had TV knobs that I bought second source black and silver TV knobs to add to my 91 BH BT....

A late '60s F-body would have checkered binding front and back.
A 365 OS would be plain binding front and back. The checkered part requires an extra route.
As John said, the '60s NS 360s would have checkered back binding. Usually.
I have a 360 MG 1965 NS (#EA) with white over black (not checkered) binding on the back. it's possble the binding was professionally redone a long time ago. There are no signs of refin around the binding that I can see and the guitar finish is original.

Thanks Ron
I'm beginning to think it was a 365 NS... I'm pretty certain as can be that there was checkered binding on the back... the TV knobs must be a false memory too...
The good news is that the 365 NS Mapleglo is not as rare! so I can pick up one to satisfy my urge to reacquire a Ric of my youth at about half the price of an OS !!!

That is so cool...even cooler if original

The only other OS with checkered binding would be a 381. They came out in '68. At least the first ones did.
