Name probably won't mean a lot over the Atlantic but some ex pats will remember this lady, who passed away on 19/05, she had in my view the package, looks, voice but regretfully not the right management, she was controlled in some ways by guy who discovered her and was nearly 40 years her senior.
She only had 5 top 40 hits in UK, her version of Secret Love by Doris Day being one she is always remembered for.
But she did have her own TV series and at one time was allegedly one of the highest paid female stars in the 60s.
Her Manager allegedly squandered her money and in later years she hit on hard times.
In 1965 she made the top 100 in US with this, a song Cher had a massive hit with 7 years later.
