Danny-guitarist for the great Surf/Instro band, Los Straitjackets, is recovering from stem cell transplant to treat his multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). The band and friends are doing a few fund raisers for Danny in addition to starting a tour with the great Dave Alvin and his Guilty Men.
Check out the lineup for the L.A. Show. In addition to Conan O'Brien, who featured Los Straitjackets on his show several times; my two favorite guitarists, Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam) and Mike Campbell (who needs no introduction here) will play. Yowza!

The 24th annual National Cancer Survivors Day is Sunday, June 5, 2011. This concert is very close to this day. Best wishes and prayers for Danny to survive this.
