450-12 arrival

Hi all -
My '66 450-12 arrived today in the brutal heat the Northeast is going through right now ... I did let it sit for a while before opening in order to slowly acclimate (I am fortunate to have central air). Took a while to tune but seems to be holding up now.
I have a whole host of setup questions that I'm thinking through but let me start with a few pics ... these didn't come out as well so I'll make a point of taking better ones later ...

Congrats to you, that's a very nice guitar. I bet that it has a lovely slim neck.

Thanks!
It does. Feels great. Now that it's acclimated itself fully, it has turned from a tuning nightmare into a guitar that won't go out of tune ... logical given the conditions it has traveled through. Wow. An absolute blast to play.
Thank you Rickenbacker for making guitars that are the pinnacle of consistency over a span of generations ...

And I thought I'd heard all of the Rickencompliments possible.
"Pinnacle of consistency"--a great motto!!!

Thanks!
I have some things to learn about these older guitars ... such as the particulars of the truss rods, etc. Gotta make sure I find a competent setup person in the event I don't work on them myself. I called the store at which I purchased my 360-12V64 only to find they don't do Rick setups ... they apparently have another tech they go to for this.

Thanks!
The more I play it the more I like it ...
I've always had a soft spot for unbound dot marker Ricks, be it these, or 1997/98's, and 610/615's.
