I'm not really a Yes man, but I checked this out and I liked it, proper rick sound as you say Jay.
I saw from the comments on you tube that this is a new vocalist?

Yes. It's Benoit David. While he does a good representation of Jon live, this track sounds more like Trevor Horn. It's nice to have new Yes that sounds so much like classic Yes.

Gave it a listen and it is not bad. We all love Jon and he was the quintessential Yes vocalist, but I loved Drama with Trevor.I even would have liked Man In A White Car to have been longer that a fraction on a minute The new vocalist has a really good voice. I have not been into Yes much since Drama. The re-invented Yes with Trevor Rabin was not my cup of tea and the last few Yes albums have had there moments, but I am a Yes Album through Drama fan. Close To The Edge and Relayer are the zenith for me. Love Roger Dean artwork.

I like it. It does have an "old YES" vibe to it, but nothing wrong with that.

The new Yes album is going to have a regular release, a deluxe release with an extra DVD with live footage and a making of doc of the album and also a Box Set with all of the above and a vinyl copy of the album for all the audiophiles. I still have turntable but th box set look like close to $60. Wow.

60 dollars for a CD and album, seems about right to me.

I can remember in high school riding my bike down to the record store and buying albums for $0.99 each! Sixty dollars is an outrage, who do these people think they are charging that much for a CD and a record of the same material? etc etc etc ad nauseum

And get off my lawn!

I was being sarcastic. I want record for 99 cents. Not even records in a used record store are 99 cents. I remember when I started buying albums they were 4.99. I love vinyl and it is very small comeback, but they are pricey.

In the early 90's when I was in high school I went to a shop in Tampa called Vinyl Fever (RIP) and a shop in Clearwater called Vinyl Museum (also RIP) that sold hundreds of classic rock (50's-80's) vinyl LP's for as low as $0.99 every day of the year. Every holiday like Presidents Day, Labor Day, etc etc, they would have a sale where all their $1 records were $0.25 and all their $2 records were $0.50. Many more were marked $0.10 to get rid of 'm. I amassed hundreds of records this way and that's how I learned all those songs, because lord knows Tampa radio was playing nothing but garbage. There was a classic rock station, but they just play the hits. But I digress...

I think it's great that vinyl is still around for people who love it. But I rarely listen to mine. I got rid of most of them when I moved out of Flori-duh. Since the market for vinyl went from "most music listeners" to "a very small percent of music listeners," the enormous setup costs are naturally much higher, which just makes sense. Supply and demand, baby.

Yup. Which is why vinyl outsold CDs last year in many markets...

Not to mention everyone is downloading and stealing or trading these days. Vinyl is so cool. Big artwork, posters, liner notes ect.
