Help with Authentication

Hello Everyone,
First I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Colin and I have been running a Strat for some time and I am ready to bite the bullet on a 360.
I live in Canada and can't find one locally.
I see so many on EBay and I honestly can't tell if one is authentic from another.
Is there a resource out there that could help me verify?
I am currently looking at this one, EBay auction # 160603355005. Seems like a great price, that's why I'm a little nervous.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Colin

Hi Colin!
Welcome!
That 360 looks real enough. It's a nice not so common colour as well....

Hi Colin. It is the real thing, but keep in mind there will be no warranty if you buy this even though it is "brand new".

Hey,
Thanks for the replies!
Is having a warranty on a 360 something I should be concerned about?
I have done a little research and it seems that the care that goes into the manufacturing of these is second to none! Or are you implying that the seller could be questionable if I have problem with the guitar when it shows up?
How about this, in your personal opinion, should this be something I should buy, even though it has no warranty. Or should I wait and spend the extra cash for the warranty?
Again, I appreciate your opinions.
Colin

I think that's a nice guitar and a great deal. I have owned a few Ricks over the years, some purchased "new" (not from dealer) without warranty. I have never had an issue requiring a warranty-type repair. The quality control at RIC is excellent. If you like the finish color, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one.

I just did a quick check of some dealer inventories and there doesn't appear to be a new 360 in Midnight Blue available. Not sure what dealer discounted pricing is on 360s these days, but you could ask around. Dave's Guitar Shop (WI) has some new 360s, but none in MID.

Colin:

Keep your eye on the used market and you will find a few great deals...

For instance a 08 JG 360 just sold on the Toronto Craiglist last week for $1000... If you are patient the right deal will come along.. I check kiiji and craigslist everyday...

Where abouts in Canada are you?

It is obvious to spot fakes once you know what to look for... Paul W (Jingle Jangle) has a primer on Ebay about how to spot them... Perhaps he will provide the link...

Thanks,
I'm in Red Deer Alberta.
I've been keeping an eye on Kijiji, I found a 330 in Kelowna, but when I requested more pics the guy never got back to me. I'm not set on the 360, a 330 would be fine. I don't think I would ever use the stereo, but if I had it, I probably would end up with another amp just to try it out!!
There is just something about a new one that appeals to me!!!
I may just bite the bullet on this one.

I checked out Dave's Guitar Shop, great selection!
I have already emailed him about pricing.
We'll see what happens!
Thanks for the tip!

Might want to get your hands on one if you can... the 360 is awesome, but a totally different machine than a Strat. and welcome!

Collin,

I think you're looking in all the right places. Have you checked out the Pick of the Ricks website? Wherever you buy the guitar (and whether it's used or new) I would inspect it with a fine-toothed comb. I ran into some problems with a guitar that was supposed to be brand new.
