Notice the seller never identifies the culprit who modified it. .. even Gibson wouldn't do this at the factory, would they?

Maybe it was designed for a calming effect, or perhaps minimizing confusion, for guitarists with schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder

That guy needs to spend less time butchering his guitars and more time cleaning his basement.

The body probably broke, and for a joke they flipped it over. I saw a band in Atlanta once who had an SG that was totally split in the same spot, but they played it as-is.

That's like a recurring nightmare where my leg is cutoff, and the doctor re-attaches it the wrong way round.
