I could very well be wrong, but I thought Autumnglo had a matte finish and was a darker burst.

There's no specific difference in color between the two. Some are darker or lighter depending on the year they were made/flukes/who painted them. As far as I know, in the beginning AutumnGlo was a gloss finish but was then discontinued. They brought it back as a matte finish, and then added Walnut as the gloss version.

Great color either way. I've heard that the matte finishes can become glossy over time so this could possibly add to the confusion as well.

They do indeed. My 4001 is somewhat glossy in certain places but matte everywhere else.

It looks very glossy, so my first thought was Walnut.

I thought Walnut as well but I always get the two confused. This one happens to be a '76 I believe.
More pics when she arrives next week. Thanks for the help guys.

Is glossy just a matte with more buffing?

Walnut in my opinion this could very well be a rare one!

Then here is Pauls Point of view on it:

After, being a proud Ric 360/12 owner now for 1/2 week, I feel almost qualified to say... Walnut.

My '75 AG 480 is getting glossy in spots and I like it. I've thought about having it buffed out to become Walnut (or early AutumnGlo  )
