Let me get out my belt sander and I'll get back to you in a few minutes. I'm sure there is some amazing flame, or better yet, quilt, under this old finish.

Hmm, well, maybe...

OK, here's my 4004Cii (now a Cjj due to a few mods):

Then there's this one:

But those just have rather thin flamed maple on 'em. Now, this one is flamed all the way through:

Sitting here admiring the flip=flop on my CW as I read this. But you asked for common Ricks ... my others are all painted opaquely. It's not usual but it happens for a few lucky owners. 8) Think of it like a lottery.

CJ -- your flaming Maple Rics are just totally awesome. :D
I am surprised you don't have the State Fire Marshall issuing you citations.

And I like the flame in the neck on Tim's FG 360. Very nice ! :D

This one isn't quite as flamey, but it's got more than enough horseshoes and strings to make up for it...

I've gotten lucky on a few :)

Here's my 1966 375 and 2008 660 in Amber Fireglo.

Many of the 660's (and 381's) are nicely flamed, I think it's part of the spec, but it's cool when you find one that just "happened" 8)
