I need a photo of a disassembled 450 or 450/12 tailpiece/bridge, please. Trying to help a friend figure out something about his guitar, long distance. Thanks folks!

OG Ric style bridge (4 Allen screws) or 425-type bar bridge?

It's the bar bridge I'm studying; should it be three pieces (bridge, housing, and a third part)?

There were two different configurations for the 425/450 bridge. I'm not sure but I think 4-post was used during Combo era (late '50s/early /'60s) and 2nd style was used by mid-'60s.

1961 425 shows 4-post adjustable bridge on bridgeplate/string anchor.

1966 450-12 shows bridge + base as in PW's photo, plus bridgeplate/string anchor. PW has the rare 425 with VB unit, so no plate/anchor.

This is for a 450/12, so it's not the 4-post type.

IIRC there are two pieces (not including the height adjustment screws), the bridge itself and the 'housing' it sits in.

Hmm. Good to know - I thought there was a third stabilizing part. No matter, I'll let you all know what I find. Thanks folks!
