Paul where might I get a custom Capri pickguard?

Post by DavidW »

I'm currently restoring a capri and I really like what you did with one of yours. I don't have any pictures, but it was a dark, almost wine burst, with a gold TRC and top pick guard with a lower pick guard that was tortoise shell with a black and white binding around it. I'm interested in having a lower pick guard similar to that one, but haven't had any success in finding a place that'd make one thus far.

Thanks,

D

Tortoise lower guards are available at Picguardian: http://www.pickguardian.com/pickguardian/RIC330360.html

Best to send a tracing of your original guard so they can get the shape and holes done correctly.

Paul may have a different source and/or other helpful information.

Member Dane Wilder is another one with experience at making custom guards. I have pickguards from both Dane and Pickguardian!

I've had very good experiences with Tony at Pickguardian. I've purchased 4-5 guards from him, the most recent a very nice custom guard for a JagStang I bought a year or so back.
