Rarely a day goes by where I do not listen to an Ashford/Simpson composition. Easily one of the most influential songwriting duo's in the last 50 years, with a legacy that is simply magnificent. Go and listen to 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough" tonight, (preferably the Ms Ross version) and then realize what truly great songwriting is all about. How the bar has fallen...
I'm off to open a special bottle of red to celebrate a life that never fails to inspire me when I listen...
