This cable can be used for the Ric stereo output?
It is expensive though: 193 EUR for 3.5m, 280 EUR for 6 meter cable

I don't think you need to spend that much for a quality stereo to Y cable. Mr. Hall's posted a link to a quality Y cable before.

What's the difference, if any, between a y-split cable and the cable with the weird box? Both work the same, right?

Don, I checked the Hosa website and could not find a stereo splitting cable - when did you get yours? Long ago?

I've checked my biggest customer's website and they only had two cables... maybe this stuff's only mainly available in the US?

Hosa YPP117 1/4 TRS To Dual 1/4 Female Cable

Here is the Hosa cable part number. I found it on Amazon for $5. Single 1/4" stereo Male plug to - 2 female 1/4" mono jacks. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Joel - I'm a bit confused though, as female jacks to me is like the output jack on a guitar, standard guitar mono cable having two male plugs.

That would split it at the guitar.
You'd have to use two standard cords from your instrument to the amps.

It is 1 stereo plug (male) that plugs into the guitar or bass in the Ric-0-Sound jack and splits to 2 (female) mono jacks to go out to two amps. Sorry for the confusion. Does that clear it up?

Yeah that is the demon. Someone posted a picture of it. Plug that into the Ric-O-Sound jack and use two standard mono cables and you are rocking in stereo or dual mono. I used to have two guitar amps and I used to run stereo out of my BB King sig model. It is cool with chorus or flange effects that have stereo outs, or a clean amp and dirty amp. Let the fun begin.

I guess if you wanted to run a longer stereo cable and then get a stereo to stereo (female on both ends) coupler, you could run only one cable out of the guitar or bass and use the hosa device down the line. I have one for my headphones to connect two cables and make it longer.
