My wife used to eat those things when she was a kid growing up in Latvia. Also, anybody remember Walter Dyer (old hippy guy who used to make fancy moccasins from leather that was about 3/16" thick back in the '70s)? They were made from European moose/elk hide, most of which was imported for making machine belts because it was so tough - back in the days when Americans still made stuff (other than Rickenbackers) and machines still had belts.

And Todd, did she ever end up stuck in an apple tree?! Next time I eat an apple, I'll tell my Latvian wife "Prieka" and see what she says.

Well, if it's not the name of a band, it SHOULD be!
