These "CherryGlo" finishes are really beautiful. I had a '67 370 in this colour...looks very similar to the finish on Ron's - see pic. So I guess it must have been quite a common finish in 67-8, maybe just on the deluxe guitars (at least I don't recall seeing it on a 330/340)?
Darn it Scott, you must have missed my one when it went up for sale on UK eBay a few months back....

It's a dark FireGlo...see group shot below of my '67 with a couple of my old V64's. This shows the contrast with a more typical FG. "In the flesh" I would say it's not quite as dramatically different as it looks in some of the pictures...

Cheers Eddie im interested to hear what Ron has to say about the 366 and why and what makes it a super-rare “Moonglo” finish.Ronns has a stunning collection

This non-standard factory finish starts as a dark cherry at the body edge, moves to Fireglo and then amber at the very center.Did this leave the Factory called moon glo?

I've gone back in my photo files to see if I had a cavity shot of the 370 as often the final colour designation is pencilled in there; of course sod's law that I haven't got a picture for this guitar. I'd be very surprised though if the factory categorised this finish as anything other than FG....

..Scott, you must be telepathic..or is that psychopathic

...whatever, I have just invested in the attached which I plan to wear with black pumps and a Casino to celebrate our second victory!! I can't think of anything better than the combo of a sporting triumph, classic guitar and a pint of the Black Stuff..
