Those Mike Lull T-Birds have really been on my brain lately.

My eyes tell me that it's clumsy, ill-proportioned, over the top, strange-looking, and just plain alien.

But my heart says, "Yes"!

I do really like my Firebird though.

Yeah Paul, that does about sum it up. I've been thinking of an Epi Tbird Pro. I tried a regular passive Epi but it sounded just like a Jazz bass. The Pro has a preamp that offers a lot more variety of tones. But the Pro doesn't come in white.... Yeah, I know, an $900 refin on a $350 bass.

I played a couple of those at the 2010 NAMM show, very nice.

Yeah, $3500 large nice....

There is that minor problem.

They do look cool, they just LOOK so heavy.

The 60's models are probably very light, (honduras mahogoney!)' my ''67 epi embassy was only 7or 8 pounds. I do miss that bass....
And i sold it for less than what the Lull bass is priced.....

The new Epi Pro I tried a few months back was pretty light. They don't list the weight in the specs though.
