Congrats, Joey and Diane! :D

I'm sure Cheyenne will warm to the new arrival given a bit of time.

Well, you could always call him Acero, or if you want to add the flame part, Acero Fiammeggiato...

He looks pretty happy to have a nice home with his own people and a warm "cave" to sleep in. Congrats! I'm sure they will eventually figure out how to live in the same house together. My old tortie was pretty territorial and bossy, too, but she eventually got used to the second cat I brought home.

Nice story, Joey. Adopted pets are in a class all their own.

We currently have three siamese and a bengal (see avatar) but I feel the need to visit a shelter soon after losing this guy back in February to kidney failure...

Jim, that was one cool looking cat! Sorry you had to lose him to kidney failure. I hope he lived to an old age.

Thanks, Joey.

He was twelve, thought he had many more good years left, but with most cases of kidney failure, cats, as natural predators, will hide their weakness to the end. I decided to have bloodwork done more often on other pets to look for early signs in the future.

He was cool! To the end.

This is my MG cat Bailey he's about 14 a stray dumpster kitty that has been with me for a while. When my Newfie was still with me and loosing his sight the dog would follow the cat around the yard, the cat never took him anywhere he couldn't go the relationship was amazing to watch.

Jim, sorry you couldn't catch your cat's kidney problem early. Parrots are good at hiding ailments as well. That's why we almost lost one a few years ago.

Ted, your MG cat looks like a little lion, A cool cat and a cool story!

Cute Cat by the way! I like cats but they wouldn't get along with my dogs, chinchillas, degus, or Parrot.
