Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a Ken Roberts model, and was wondering what value range these guitars fall into. Any help would be appreciated. I might be able to post pics if I can resize them correctly.

This guitar has a flat Mahogany back......White pearloid head stock veneer..........Has the "H" in Rickenbacher.

Doesn't sound like an "F" in Rickenbacker to me. Tom

I was looking online at pics of this model and found shots of my guitar. The guy that owned it before me is on this forum {Curt Bayne}. I pasted a link if anyone wants to take a look. The article he wrote offered a lot of history.

Looks like the horseshoe was moved--for fuller tone and more volume?

That's what I was thinking. I took a closer look and it appears that it must have been done a long time ago. The lower pot is the exact same type as the front which appears to be original {OHM brand?}. Also the front route looks older and very clean. It almost looks as if it was a prototype that they were experimenting with. It also has a massive cap that's down by the jack.

I love the huge V neck. It's dead straight, and has a wide nut. Would love to find another bakelight knob.

Looks to have had a switch added too? What's the serial number? Mine's C1217

There is a reference in the text of the Curt Bayne article to the serial no. being C1241.

Mine appears to be a later build, serial no. C1788:

Where do you find the serial number? I see inked numbers visible through both F holes. The number on the bass side reads 1175 without the C. I can't find the number referenced in the article.

Thanks for the pics........those are beautiful examples. I wonder how many are left. It really nails a great finger style blues tone. Very believable. Mine has incredible action too.

The serial no. may be stamped into the wood at the end of the headstock.
