I'm pleased to announce that the
Rickenbacker Boutique has now reopened, with a fresh design and new feature, including the ability to pay using PayPal. There's some new items available and during the next weeks, quite a few more products will be added.
We'll also be using the Boutique to clean out some obsolete parts and closeout items, so you may want to watch to see what's offered. For example, right now you'll find our standard bass guitar tuning keys . . . in gold, something that hasn't been available for awhile
I'll head off one question that's bound to come up; Yes, we will eventually enable this boutique to offer small goods and spare parts internationally. However, we need some learning time with this new software first and we have to do some additional work to assure the burdensome compliance with regulations in international jurisdictions. Just be patient!

That's fantastic John. Thanks for letting us all know about this new development. This sort of announcement is just another reason why Rickenbacker is the very best of the best...........IMHO of course.

Looks great! This will make it even easier to order parts and such, and the upcoming addition of international orders will be great for our foreign friends!

It looks great. A couple of suggestions: (i) it would be very useful to have some descriptions accompanying the screws, etc. identifying their function, which models use them, and so forth; (ii) also useful would be pages showing the parts diagrams for the different models with hyperlinks to the appropriate parts pages in the boutique.

Ah, great work, and I like the mention that eventually us international folks might buy as well from the boutique!

Yes!
I was looking to buy those springs that raise and lower the bridge on a 360/12 but had no idea which ones they were.

There are new, extended descriptions for all items forthcoming. Our old system, from which we imported the data, had a fairly limited description field, unfortunately. But we felt it was more important to get this up and running now, so people would have a soucrce of spares, rather than wait for all the polished, more complete descriptions.
There have been parts diagrams for years already, if you look carefully in the menu pulldown, but the links contained therein have not yet been properly updated to the site (which runs on its own server). We'll get that done too.
The new software has much more capability and many more features than our previous system, so as we learn to utilize it, you'll many more enhancements.
Time sensitive sales, closeouts, loyalty discounts, member pricing, and downloadable products, for instance, are all available to us now, should we chose to use them.
The international capability is much more problematic due to legal considerations. For instance, use of cookies is or shortly will be illegal under EC privacy statutes, rendering the vast majority of electronic shopping carts unusable. (The law should have controlled HOW cookies were used, not ban them outright.) However, when we have a clear precedent that the EC has no recourse to us in the US, then we can begin international trade. Unfortunately, many other countries also have quirks like this that we have to be careful of.
