I have a warwick corvette fretless that gets a perodic wax job and was wondering if beeswax would be suitable for my 4003 jetglow finish as well. Thanks for the info.

Don't know anything about beeswax, but on a factory tour many of us saw them using turtle wax. I wouldn't stray any farther than that. "Old" Scratch-X (which I think they now call Swirl-X?) and Zymol is a local favorite too.

I would stay away from beeswax based on my experience with it on furniture. It breaks down very easy, and gets "gunky" at least that is my observation. Sorry for resorting to the use of technical terms.

Yeah, the Zymöl treatment gets high recommendations round here. It's good stuff. Smells nice, too.

Do a search here for the ScratchX/Zymol treatment, it has been well documented. Paul W may have even updated his procedure to new products yet again, but I have been happy with Scratch Doctor and Zymol.
Nu Finish Scratch Doctor is recommended as a suitable replacement for the old Meguiar Scratch-X (which is no longer available). The current Scratch-X 2.0 is different, may be too aggressive? Don't know, but is no longer recommended.
Then finish it with a polish job using Zymol. It has carnuba, bees wax, and I believe it is water based.

Thanks for the info. wasn't sure about the new "uv" finish and the best way to clean & polish.

I have been useing Gerlitz Guitar Wax on all of my instruments for the last 6 years with excellent results, did the Zymol thing too but noticed it was like a dust magnet, still have more than 3/4 of a bottle left, im sticking with the Gerltiz..

The folks at RIC seem to be recommending a product called Brillianize - I think it's what they use at the facory...
