Low C# on a 4003S

There have been some threads recently concerning drop tuning/string gauges, etc, so I thought I'd post this. Drop C# on a .106 "E" string (Dean Markley SR2000). I haven't had any issues with this setup. YMMV. :D

I recently had the pleasure of adding bass tracks to a project called Lunation. Their album "Restless" was released yesterday, and I'm REALLY happy with the results. Half the tracks were already finished (with keyboard bass) when I came on board, but I got to do my thing on seven tracks, including:

3. Unscrupulous
5. Wash All Over You
8. Confusion
9. I'm Still Alone
10. One of Some
11. A Different Day
14. Restless

3, 5, and 10 are the 4003. 8 is my 4001CS. 9 and 11 my Kramer fretless, and 14 my Guild Pilot 5 string. We utilized Dropbox to exchange files, and I did everything on my Pro Tools rig at my house. Gotta love technology! I ran everything but the fretless through a Sadowsky pre amp for some bass and treble boost, and tracked with a Chris Lord-Alge compressor plug-in insert. You can hear samples at the link below. Thanks for listening!

Neat! How did you get mixed up with this project?

The guy that wrote the music and played drums and keys is a friend of mine. Fantastic drummer, all around good guy. We've only been able to play together at open jams, but always managed to click. When I heard some of the Lunation stuff, I respectfully suggested that I might be able to add something with bass guitar. It started with one song, and quickly turned into 7. :D
