What size screws are used in the historic mounting rings on a Les Paul (bridge and neck)?

Wood screws or machine screws for height adjustment?

The four screws at each corner holding the mounting ring to the surface of the guitar.

These are #2 oval head Phillips wood screws, 9/16" long.
