Chris on new Hackett CD

Just a note to everyone to go out and pickup the new Steve Hackett CD "Beyond the Shrouded Horizon". Chris plays on 5 of the tracks.

But it's worth getting in general to hear more great work by one of my other favorite guitarists named Steve. And of course just
makes me want to hear the "Squackett" music all the more.

If it's half as good as "Out of the Tunnel's Mouth" it will be worth it. Steve Hackett is amazing.

I actually think I like what I have listened to so far better. I'll give it a good listen on my drive down to Carolina Thursday
a few times I am sure. But Steve has always been spot on for me with his writing and playing. As I said, one of my favorite
'Steve' (or any) guitarists (the others being Howe and Rothery).

The reviews on Amazon seem to indicate this is the best album Steve has done in a long time,so i am really wanting to hear it. I may even listen to the little samples there,at least you get a "taste" that way. I have not kept up with his last few releases,"darktown" was the last album i purchased, which i did like, but didn't feel it was on the same level as my favorites. ( basically everything up to and including "cured")
Looking forward to hearing Steve and Chris' collaborations.

Steve has been one of my favorite guitarists, ever since I first heard him, and saw him, in April 1972. 8)

That's him. He's a great player, especially on the Chapman Stick. I just have trouble getting by the leather kilt!

Nick interviewed Chris for a British bass mag, during which Chris said "keep that thing away from me!"
(Chris was referring to the Chapman Stick, which Nick asked him if he had ever played.... )
Jeff,i got to see "genesis prime" in January 74,the week of my 20th birthday, replete with batwings, foxheads, and dubblenekk Rickies....quite a show!

You guys are not old, just wise (and a bit lucky)! I first saw Genesis on the 1976 "Trick" tour. I was in my sophomore year of High School. I wish I had gone to the LAMB tour...I still remember hearing the radio commercials for the Tour on WNEW-FM in NYC.

Genesis played two nights here during the TOTT tour, I went both nights, as it was a real "Treat Of The Tail" to see Collins and Bruford on stage together. 8) I saw Genesis every time they came to Cleveland up through the W&W tour, so, I did see the LLDOB show. :D
