Can someone who knows more about things help me?
I have just bought a 620 on E-bay which has trapeze tailpiece instead of R-tailpiece, serial number 10 xxxxx (5 digits)
Does anyone know anything about this? Has someone modified tailpiece or is it original one?

More than likely modified. Got any pictures from the auction, we'd love to see it!

Looks like a Rickenbacker replacement trapeze tailpiece. They are cool and some people prefer them to the "R" tailpiece because they make it easier to string the instrument. It would be better IMO to get the original "R" tailpiece too though since you can only get them 2nd hand, usually at great expense.
Looks like a very nice guitar though. Congrats and welcome.

I think the 600 series guitars look great (better) with the trapeze tailpiece.

Personally, I would throw on an accent!
Even though the 620 has no ramp, it would still work, right?

Duh! I should have just thought of a 615!

The first is a '64 625, owned by Dave Rogers of Dave's Guitar Shop in Wisconsin. The second is a Rose Morris 1995 owned by Ron O'Keefe, which is basically a 615.
