A few weeks ago i bought an old 330 in mapleglo. it seems to be from '67.

Now i found some interesting signings in the guitars cavity hole. there are a few dates and signings
(from 1971 and 1993) and also the marks "345 P" and "Red Baron"

There are also much more signings, but i'm not able to read or describe them
but i will try to take a few photographs.

Dirk, my '65 365 also has some cool writing inside the control cavity. Here's the thread: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=393612&start=15#p606613
Please do post some pix when you get the chance!

hrhr... thats pretty funny

in my case i'm wondering about this 345 p signature. i know the three pickup models with vibrato are called 345 but the wood texture from the middle pickup looks complete untouched.

The signatures /w dates are also interesting. They look like signatures from factory inspections or repairs.
And i think it's pretty uncommon to send an Instrument back to the factory if it's not absoloutley necessary.
Especialy when you can't see any traces of modifications (and the instrument is located in europe.)

i'm looking forward to post some pics as soon as possible.

i've just watched your thread. On the next string-change i will try to remove the tailpiece too.

A lot of the control cavity markings (i.e., "365-R") are misleading. Just like I believe my 365 may have started out life as a 360, I have a friend whose 335 says "340" inside but was never drilled for the center pickup. As to the "-R", I have no idea what that meant. Others have speculated as to the unusual codes, names and marks inside their Ricks. It would be interesting to find out more about them! :D
