My friend and fellow Texas bassist Gene Kurtz has passed away. He spent the last several years playing with Honky Tonk star Dale Watson, but is known for writing the hit song "Treat Her Right" for Roy Head. He was a great "old-school" bassist, and the nicest person you'd ever meet.
Give "Treat Her Right" a listen.

Sorry to hear about your friend Ronn
Re: RIP Gene Kurtz
+1, sad indeed...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: RIP Gene Kurtz
It's tough to lose both a good friend and a respected fellow musician. Please accept my condolences Ronn.
