Hey, Ronbo, there was the RM 3261 in 1967. It was a fully appointed (full-width triangle inlays, checker binding on the back) 4005 with an F hole instead of the slash. Have no idea how many were made. The only one I have photographed belongs to Forumite Gary Clauson:

IIRC, I have heard tell of three other Fireglo examples (all in Europe) and at least one, possibly two, Jetglo examples (there is an old clip on YouTube that shows a Jetglo in action).

Hey, that's my old friend Frank on guitar...who's also my current bandmate in The Beat Rats.
opticnerve wrote:As far as these 4005's with F holes go, I've seen two others not mentioned here...both were in Italy.
I have pictures of 2 italian Romo 4005's which I got in 2008 from the seller. I will add them to the register. One is without serial though.
[edit] I'm not sure if I am allowed to do this as these pictures where posibly not publicly available. I got them in an email.
[edit2] I emailed the person whom sent me the pictures.

I got permission to use the pictures. I added them to the registry as type 3261 and collected instruments (I can not even change the records anymore myself). Both are '67, but one of them is recognized as an '84 by the registry, but the same serial is an '67 according to the Rickenbacker service serial page. I believe the Rickenbacker site and the fact that it has FWMOP.
