Nice!
The 1969 Camaro is similarly available; one of the nice things is that one gets all the classic lines of the original, but can install all of the modern performance options and interior conveniences. Even a muscle car needs a few cup holders. . .and an IPod jack.

What's the news, other than Ford "endorsing" these repro bodies? Nothing new there....they've been making them for years.
What next - reproduced '32 Deuce coupes? There's a concept that hasn't been bludgeoned to death already.
This would be interesting news if they were being made in Dearborn, BY Ford Motor Co...but they don't appear to be, right?
Even cooler than this is the fact that you can still buy a brand new Delorean DMC-12 for $35K built from their leftover stock of NOS parts (body, engine and all...) out of Texas. That's pretty damn cool, I think.

Forgot about that one. There's also a concern proposing to introduce an electric version of the DeLorean. . No Mr. Fusion though.

Yep, my childhood dreams are crushed (along with the hoverboard..)
now..if Ford can stamp VIN numbers on these and somehow facilitate easier titling, helping people avoid the kit car registration issues...that would be cool.

Wow! $15k for just a body? I wonder if they have all the trim parts (and how much that'll add)...
And to think, I sold mine to my little brother for $250 back around 1978. 'Course, it was a '66 and not a convertible. I sure wish I still had it now...

I saw this too. Made me miss my light blue '66 convertible from high school. My parents made me sell it to get another car since it was looking like I was going to college out of town and the Mustang would have been a hard car to reliably drive back and forth. Still, it was an awesome car for high school.
