Chris,
Rain is definitely one of the best Beatles cover bands out there, certainly the finest I've seen. Not only do they have the guitar sounds and the vocal harmonies down, but even the between songs banter sounds just like John, Paul, and George. I was watching them on PBS with my dad, and he said he could have sworn they were lip-synching "I Want to Hold Your Hand"; that's how close to the original it sounded! They haven't been to my part of the country on tour, and I understand the ticket prices are astronomical, but I'll certainly consider seeing them if they do a show here in the near future.

Re: RAIN on NBC today....
RAIN is exceptional, absolutely great, vocal harmonies are great...my only complaint:
"George" plays anything that sounds like a solo. "The End" featured Paul, George and John all playing lead guitar, circling as the song jammed out, but "George" played all three parts. "Revolution" was John on lead, but "George" plays it, too. The main riff for "I Feel Fine" was John and George in unison, but "George" plays it by himself.
If the lead parts is my only complaint, then they're that good. Glad to see some Rics being played tonight! They got some pretty sweet tones out of their AC-30s, too.

RAIN on NBC today....
I saw bits and pieces of this on Saturday in between doing household chores .... they are really good
I've seen a lot of Beatles tribute bands over the years and these guys rate at the top.
I thought the "Paul character" was playing a left-handed Hofner bass when I saw them doing "I Feel Fine" and "Daytripper" .. but later on, for the Sgt. Pepper segment, he was playing a right-handed Rick bass.
Ambidextrous ? Or did I get it wrong ?

When we saw them in Baltimore a few weeks ago, "Paul" was playing a RH 4003 painted in the MMT fashion but played a left-handed guitar.....I'm going with the ambidextrous theory.....
