So I decided to pull the plug, and to buy the guitar that haunted my dreams from the time I started playing, a 370/12 MapleGlo. On the local craigslist-like site I saw a 1999 370/12 for sale, about an hour driving from my place, already with the 12-saddle bridge installed (6-saddle bridge is also provided). I went, and I tested, and I strummed the first chord, and I knew this was THE guitar. I used to own a 2004 360/12, but this neck has got a little bit more meat on it, and the third pickup really adds a nice touch to the sound, me likey
. The guy from whom I bought it had a new hobby: playing the lapsteel. He showed me his, an early fourties Rickenbacher Model B lapsteel, in virtually mint condition.
