So I decided to pull the plug, and to buy the guitar that haunted my dreams from the time I started playing, a 370/12 MapleGlo. On the local craigslist-like site I saw a 1999 370/12 for sale, about an hour driving from my place, already with the 12-saddle bridge installed (6-saddle bridge is also provided). I went, and I tested, and I strummed the first chord, and I knew this was THE guitar. I used to own a 2004 360/12, but this neck has got a little bit more meat on it, and the third pickup really adds a nice touch to the sound, me likey . The guy from whom I bought it had a new hobby: playing the lapsteel. He showed me his, an early fourties Rickenbacher Model B lapsteel, in virtually mint condition.

HN370D is offcourse an acronym derived from HNGD (Happy New Guitar Day). More pics will follow, once I figured out how I can let go of the guitarstrap, and when the batteries of my picturemaker are back up and running.

I'm probably going to the the iiipopes wiring mod (Thanks Scott for the mail!), so I have an extra volume for the middle pickup in a push-pull underneath the blend-knob.
