DAN'S 4001

Just in the last few weeks, there's been a flurry of activity as I work to trim down my backlog to a manageable level, and progress is slow but steady.
I've finished assembling two BBR 4001s. This one started out as a badly-stripped Ebay carcass with a neck that was split in three places, with the fretboard partially delaminated. It sat for awhile, waiting its turn in line and an influx of parts from various sources.
Dan said, "Blueburst, but deeper", so it has very deep blue edges that have been overlaid with red pearl for a violet flop effect. The binding is new, it's been refretted and the neck is stabilized. Tony at Pickguardian did the guard (gorgeous job, too) and I've installed a push/pull harness.

Coming up: Another, completely different, BBR 4001, Blackstar, Tuxedo, an entirely unique 381, ditto 430, a 3001 bass, and more acoustics. Always more.
