my son says they use a lot of different Rics. Looks like a 620 here. For those who want a laugh, some are referring to this tune as the "Hipster Freebird"

I've always wanted three chick singers to add that certain background-vocal-something to my lifetrack....

So, this is how they choose to get all teary-eyed and emotional now?

Agreed - a JG 330, maybe, on a stand by the amps?

I see a 620 with silver-topped knobs and "R" tailpiece. The one on the stand looks more like a 360 to me. I see soundhole binding...

Saw them tonight at Terminal 5 in NYC. Singer/Guitarist Christopher Owens uses 3 different Rics. I'm not good with guitar models but it looks like he has a 330/12JG, a 620mg, and a 365fg. He uses them all and really makes that 620 in particular sing and scream. ...and I'm guessing that's a Vox AC30 that he uses as pictured.

Thanks for posting, Marc. For not being a guitar guy, you sure nailed what's what. The 365 appears to have an aftermarket Accent Vibrato, which would make it a 360. Could Chris be a Johnny Marr fan with the black 330/12? And the Vox amp is not an AC-30, but it's smaller cousin the AC-15. Seems like a good choice, as I'm always saying amp size apparently doesn't matter these days.

I guess I was wrong on guessing the 12-string

yeah capacity at this venue is 3500 (which was sold out btw) and his sound was loud, clear and crunchy.

as far as guitar guessing, I'm trying to guess on another now. An acquaintance says he bought a Ric guitar new in 1962, and he still has it under his bed. He thinks it's a 330. All he could tell me is it's MG, has dot inlays and is hollowbody. Hope to have a pic of that some time this week.

Sounds like a 330 to me, but when you get the pictures, be sure to post them in "Vintage Rickenbackers", I know I can't wait to see them.
