My Accent is stuck to my Ric!

I just got a 60's Ric, and the Accent is literally stuck to the guitar. Well, kind of.....the rubber feet on the spring have somehow stuck themselves to the body such that when I try to remove it, the feet appear as if they will tear. Any ideas?

PM one of our forum luthiers; they'll prolly know a trick or two. Yikes.
After that, I suggest replacing the rubber feet with grey, adhesive-backed felt pads from a hardware store. I put those on all of my Accents.

I'd carefully remove the accent piece, and if the feet tear, it beats having the finish come off.
Carefully scrape the rubber off the guitar using your fingernail. Noodge, noodge, noodge.
You can use a small amount of rubber cement thinner or naphtha (lighter fluid) to help--just put a drop on your fingertip and continue. No smoking.
Here's the McMaster page to replace them. I forget which number it is, but it's a push-in type.
