Hello!

Awhile ago I acquired one of my dream guitars, a vintage Rickenbacker 481. The guitar is in relatively good shape, and plays and sounds great.

There are however two screws missing. The first is one of the four scews mounting the bridge to the body. There is a screw there now that barely works, but I'd like it to be as close to original as possible.

The second is one of the headless screws (would you guys these screws?) mounting the pickup.

These are the height adjustment screws. They come with springs if you want to replace the rubber o-rings.

I rebuilt the bridge on my 480 using the springs and replaced the intonation screws.

The pickup mounting screws you refer to hold the covers to the bases. They are called Allen head set screws. I think the ones you need are 4-40 X 1/4" long.

They're only a dime or so apiece.

Are you sure those are what the pickup mounting screws are called? When I google that I just get the bridge screws that look have an allen key head. The pickup ones do not have a slotted head. Here's the pic:

Let me know if you find out where to get those "headless" rivet-looking PU height adjustment fasteners. The 481 seems to be the only Rick model that has these.

I also have a 481 that is missing one.

Thanks for the photo. Now I know which screws you mean! I've been turning down stainless machine screws on a lathe to remove the slots...
