Unexpected Roger McGuinn 1975 Sighting in Billy Swan Video

Post by stsang »

Hello everyone,

Here's a YouTube video of Roger McGuinn playing rhythm acoustic in 1975 on Billy Swan's version of "Don't Be Cruel":

He seems to be having a good time!
Enjoy!

Interesting. I haven't quite decided whether or not the arrangement is suitable to the song.

I kinda like the relaxed, blues-y arrangement. The video is also pretty funny too. I can't really hear Roger's playing on it. I think 1975 was when Roger was involved in a number of projects including Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue. Must have been a fun time then.

Yup, Dylan's Rolling Thunder was probably the common thread that brought Roger & Billy Swan together for this one...
