No affiliation, just a heads-up. Price seems reasonable ($675 BIN).

Ever tried one Ilan? I have always wanted to. I think these are really pretty basses but I've heard they're on the weighty side.

i've played one of these, and i do remember it being "substantial", but with a nice neck and contoured body. i am not crazy about the ceramic pickups, but thats an easy thing to remedy. and i do love an ebony fretboard....this seems like a really good price for a neck through.

I like the BB series in general, my favorite is the 1100S. Just a great sounding and playing bass.

just got rid of my BB1100s, a really beautiful bass, great ringing tone and sustain, and incredible build quality for the going market rates - seriously undervalued.
my only issues with these basses are - the necks are a little chunky, and they are on the heavy side. definitely a "man's" bass, ha ha.

Except for the Hofner, I think McCartney played basses merely because they were given to him, not because he did a ton of research, went around to music stores and bought what he thought was the most awesome bass in the world. That goes for the Yamaha. Not as iconic as the Hofner or the Rick. But a good bass, I am sure. I do not want one.
