Can anyone recommend someone in Northern New England who understands Rick basses? I'd like to get a little fret work done but have not had the greatest luck with the folks up in Portland, Maine. Is there someone in Boston or the North Shore who is good with Rick basses?
Thanks!!

I would give Mouradian Guitar in Winchester Mass. my HIGHEST recommendation.
Both Jim and his son Jon are great guys and amazing luthiers, who do top-notch work at very reasonable rates.
I have been nothing but ECSTATIC with all of the work they have done on my Rick basses.

They are the best; Jim has an early 70s 4001, so he knows the ropes. Lead time on appointments is about 3-4 weeks, however.

Well worth the wait.
And if you're in a bind, they're known to squeeze you in sooner.

Yeah - I remember he had a framed blueprint of the bass design up on the wall when he was above Cambridge Music...
