Maybe a converted Astro kit - that didn't have the regular headstock, or am I mistaking there?

Would be lovely just to be in there for 5 minutes and stare at those guitars and basses!

looks like a regular headstock but unusual Fender-ish body shape and two white single coils. Perhaps Mr Hall will come in and enlighten us :)

I have a good photo of that guitar in a book. it seems to be based on the 3000 series body shape, with features that make it sort of a cross between a 230 and a Fender Mustang.

maybe they decided it was too Fenderish, especially with those small single coils

Maybe it's his brother.

I think that's a prototype of the 430, an early one designed by Forrest White, after he left Fender and went to work at Rickenbacker in the early '70's.

I swear I know this guy somewhere... or met him

Would be cool if RIC could put pictures of all of their museum guitars on their website if they redo it completely!

Looks a slightly different body shape from the F series just behind it as well.

Prototype jazz guitar?
